DEAL provides augmentative communication services to any Victorian, who cannot speak, or cannot speak intelligibly, regardless of age or diagnosis, who can attend the DEAL centre.

DEAL staff visit schools, adult day programs and nursing homes and make regular vists to some country centres.

DEAL auspices the Big Mouth Camp, a short residential camp for school-age children using assistive communication devices, their parents and their siblings, held annually at Rawson Village.

DEAL assists Victorians to obtain electronic communication devices up to a value of $6,000 through the government-funded Aids and Equipment Program.

DEAL delivers seminars and workshops on aspects of augmentative communication at tertiary institutions, schools and centres.
